Shrimp

Grilled Pugliese Bread

Method

Preparing the Shrimp

  1. 1

    Marinate the Shrimp

In a bowl, combine the peeled and deveined shrimp, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the shrimp evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

  2. 2

    Grill the Shrimp

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Once hot, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling). Grill the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque. Remove from grill and set aside.

Preparing the Grilled Pugliese Bread

  1. 3

    Prepare the Bread

While the shrimp is marinating, prepare the Pugliese bread. Cut the loaf into thick slices (about 1-inch thick).

  2. 4

    Grill the Bread

Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil. Once the shrimp is done grilling, place the bread on the grill for about 1-2 minutes on each side or until it is golden and has grill marks. Remove from heat.

  3. 5

    Add Garlic Flavor

While the bread is still warm, rub one side of each slice with the whole garlic clove to impart a subtle garlic flavor.

Serving

  1. 6

    Plate the Dish

Serve the grilled shrimp on a platter alongside the grilled Pugliese bread. Drizzle with additional olive oil and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

  2. 7

    Enjoy!

Enjoy your delicious Gamberi with grilled bread, perfect for sharing or as a light meal.
