Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean and cut the calamari into rings. Halve the cherry tomatoes, finely chop the shallot, and mince the garlic. Drain the capers and set aside all ingredients.

Cooking

  1. 2

    Sauté the Aromatics

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped shallot and sauté for about 2 minutes until it becomes translucent.

  2. 3

    Add Garlic and Capers

Add the minced garlic and capers to the skillet. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

  3. 4

    Cook the Calamari

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the calamari rings to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the calamari is opaque and slightly firm.

  4. 5

    Add Cherry Tomatoes

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet, along with salt and black pepper. Sauté everything together for another 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes begin to soften.

  5. 6

    Finish and Serve

Remove the skillet from heat. Transfer the sautéed calamari to a serving dish and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
