Preparation of Ingredients

Prepare Heirloom Tomatoes
Wash the heirloom tomatoes under cold running water. Slice them into thick rounds or wedges, depending on your preference. Set aside.

Make Basil Pesto
In a food processor, combine the fresh basil, pine nuts, garlic cloves, and Parmesan cheese. Pulse until finely chopped. While the processor is running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil until the mixture is smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Set aside.
Assembly

Assemble the Dish
On a serving plate, place the sliced heirloom tomatoes in a circular pattern. Gently tear the burrata cheese and place it in the center of the tomatoes.

Add Pesto
Drizzle the prepared basil pesto over the burrata and tomatoes. You can use as much or as little as you like.

Final Touches
Finish with a sprinkle of salt and black pepper over the top. Optionally, garnish with extra basil leaves for presentation.
