Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Salmon

Season the Ora King salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Let them marinate for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.

2

Make the Coffee Glaze

In a small bowl, combine the freshly ground coffee, silan, and shoyu. Mix well to create a glaze.

3

Cook the Salmon

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the salmon fillets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, brushing with the coffee glaze during the last minute of cooking.

4

Prepare the Egg Yolk

While the salmon is cooking, carefully separate the egg yolks and place them in a small bowl.

5

Plate the Dish

Once the salmon is cooked, place it on a serving plate. Top each fillet with a fresh egg yolk and a generous spoonful of ikura.

6

Serve

Serve immediately while warm, allowing diners to mix the egg yolk and ikura with the salmon for an enhanced flavor experience.
