Method

Prepare the Lobster

  1. 1

    Boil the Lobster

Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.

  2. 2

    Cook the Lobster

Carefully add the live lobsters to the boiling water. Cover and cook for about 8-10 minutes or until the lobsters turn bright red. Remove and let cool.

  3. 3

    Extract the Meat

Once cooled, crack the lobster shells and remove the meat. Chop the lobster meat into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Cook the Pasta

  1. 4

    Cook the Linguine

In the same pot of boiling salted water, add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  2. 5

    Drain the Pasta

Once cooked, drain the linguine and reserve a cup of the pasta cooking water. Set the linguine aside.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. 6

    Sauté Garlic

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

  2. 7

    Add Tomatoes

Add halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook until they start to soften, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 8

    Deglaze with Wine

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 2 minutes until slightly reduced.

  4. 9

    Combine Ingredients

Stir in the lobster meat, fresh basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes.

Combine and Serve

  1. 10

    Mix Pasta with Sauce

Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta well, adding some reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.

  2. 11

    Garnish

Serve the linguine lobster hot, garnished with lemon zest and grated Parmesan cheese.
