Preparation
- 1
Cook the Linguine
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Cooking the Sauce
- 2
Sauté the Aromatics
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
- 3
Add the Tomatoes
Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes, until they start to soften and release their juices.
- 4
Deglaze with White Wine
Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the alcohol to evaporate and the sauce to reduce slightly.
- 5
Cook the Prawns
Add the prawns to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 4-5 minutes until the prawns are pink and opaque.
- 6
- 7
Finish with Fresh Herbs
Stir in the chopped fresh basil and mix well to combine with the pasta and sauce.
Serving
- 8
Plate the Dish
Serve the linguine con gamberi in warm bowls. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and serve with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing over the pasta.
