Method
Mushroom Preparation
- 1
Clean the Mushrooms
Gently wipe the fresh porcini mushrooms with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. Avoid washing them under running water as this can make them soggy.
- 2
Slice the Mushrooms
Using a sharp knife, slice the porcini mushrooms into thick slices, about 1/2 inch thick.
- 3
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- 4
- 5
Add Herbs
Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and thyme, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until the herbs are fragrant.
Toast Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Ciabatta
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the ciabatta bread in half lengthwise.
- 7
- 8
Toast the Bread
Place the ciabatta on a baking sheet and toast in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
