Mushroom Sauce

Method

Fish Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Fish

Sprinkle the white fish fillets with salt and black pepper on both sides. Allow them to marinate for about 10 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cook the Fish

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned fish fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork. Once cooked, remove the fish from the skillet and set aside.

Mushroom Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Sauté Onions and Garlic

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, add the chopped onions and minced garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onions are translucent.

  2. 4

    Add Mushrooms

Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Cook until they are tender and have released their moisture, about 5 minutes.

  3. 5

    Make the Sauce

Pour in the heavy cream, and add salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  4. 6

    Finish the Sauce

Remove from heat and stir in the chopped fresh parsley for added flavor. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

Serving

  1. 7

    Plate the Dish

To serve, place the fish fillets on a plate and generously spoon the mushroom sauce over the top. Garnish with additional parsley if desired.
