Beef Carpaccio

Marinated Mushrooms

Method

Beef Carpaccio Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Beef

Wrap the beef tenderloin tightly in plastic wrap and freeze for about 1 hour to make it easier to slice thinly.

  2. 2

    Slice the Beef

Once the beef is firm, remove it from the freezer. Using a sharp knife, slice the beef as thinly as possible. Aim for paper-thin slices.

  3. 3

    Plate the Beef

Arrange the slices of beef on a large serving plate, slightly overlapping each slice.

  4. 4

    Season the Beef

Drizzle the olive oil and lemon juice over the beef. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Marinated Mushrooms Preparation

  1. 5

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Trim the stems if necessary.

  2. 6

    Marinate the Mushrooms

In a bowl, combine the balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Add the cleaned mushrooms and toss to coat. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Assembly

  1. 7

    Add Mushrooms to Beef

After the mushrooms have marinated, distribute them evenly over the arranged beef slices.

  2. 8

    Garnish with Parmesan

Sprinkle shaved Parmesan cheese over the top of the beef and mushrooms.

  3. 9

    Optional Arugula

If using, add a handful of arugula around the edges of the plate for a fresh touch.
