Bloody Mary Mix & Glass Garnish

Method

Preparation & Build

1

Rim the glass

Run the lemon wedge around the rim of a tall Collins or pint glass. Dip the rim into a plate with the kosher salt mixed with a pinch of smoked paprika to coat evenly. Set glass aside.

2

Combine mix

In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass (no need to shake vigorously), add the tomato juice, Tito's vodka, fresh lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, prepared horseradish, hot sauce, celery salt, freshly ground black pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir gently with a bar spoon for 10–15 seconds to fully incorporate spices without overly aerating.

3

Taste and adjust

Taste the mix and adjust heat and seasoning as desired: add an extra dash of hot sauce for heat, more Worcestershire for umami, or 0.25–0.5 tsp more horseradish for bite. If too thick or intense, add 0.5 oz chilled water or tomato juice and stir again.

4

Assemble the cocktail

Fill the prepared glass with 4 large ice cubes. Pour the mixed Bloody Mary over the ice, using a bar spoon to settle the liquid if needed.

5

Garnish and serve

Garnish with the celery stalk placed upright in the glass and the lemon wedge on the rim (or squeezed in, per guest preference). Serve immediately with a small spoon or straw for guests to stir if sediment forms.
