Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare Glass

Begin by rinsing a chilled Old Fashioned glass with absinthe. Swirl it around to coat the inside of the glass, then discard the excess.

  2. 2

    Muddle Sugar

In a mixing glass, add the sugar cube and a few dashes of Peychaud's bitters. Muddle until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. 3

    Add Rye and Ice

Add the Angel's Envy Rye to the mixing glass. Fill the glass with ice and stir until well chilled.

  4. 4

    Strain into Glass

Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass over fresh ice.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Garnish with a lemon twist, expressing the oils over the drink before placing it in the glass.
