Cooking the Fries
Preheat the oven according to the instructions on the frozen French fries package. Spread the fries in a single layer on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Bake for the recommended time until crispy and golden brown, turning halfway through.

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, blackening seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, then divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties.

Toast the burger buns if desired. Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each bun, top with sautéed onions, and cover with the top half of the bun. Serve with the crispy French fries on the side.
