Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Gnocchi

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gnocchi and cook according to package instructions until they float to the surface, about 2-3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Blister the Tomatoes

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the cherry tomatoes and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are blistered and softened, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Cook the Shrimp

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

Final Assembly

  1. 4

    Make the Brown Butter

In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the unsalted butter. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and has a nutty aroma, about 3-5 minutes.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

Add the cooked gnocchi, blistered tomatoes, and cooked shrimp back into the skillet with the brown butter. Toss gently to combine and let everything heat through for about 2 minutes.

  3. 6

    Finish with Basil

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.

  4. 7

    Serve

Plate the shrimp gnocchi and enjoy immediately, garnished with extra basil if desired.
