Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Yak Burger Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground yak meat, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

In a skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the yak burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.

  3. 3

    Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

While the burgers are cooking, toast the gluten-free buns in a separate skillet or toaster.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Spread lemon aioli on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the cooked yak burger with melted cheese on top, followed by crispy onions and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Optional Fried Egg

If adding a fried egg, cook the egg in a separate pan, sunny-side up or to your preference, and place it on top of the burger before closing it.
