Method

Salad Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Iceberg Lettuce

Remove the outer leaves of the iceberg lettuce and rinse the head under cold water. Cut the iceberg lettuce into quarters, creating wedges. Place the wedges on a serving platter.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Once cooked, transfer to a paper towel to drain excess grease and then chop into small pieces.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Cherry Tomatoes

Rinse the cherry tomatoes under cold water and cut them in half. Scatter the halved tomatoes over the lettuce wedges.

  4. 4

    Add Chives and Bleu Cheese

Chop the chives finely and sprinkle them over the salad. Crumble the bleu cheese and add it generously on top of the wedges.

  5. 5

    Add Cooked Bacon

Evenly distribute the chopped bacon over the salad wedges.

Buttermilk Dressing Preparation

  1. 6

    Mix the Dressing Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the buttermilk, mayonnaise, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until smooth and well combined.

  2. 7

    Serve the Salad

Drizzle the buttermilk dressing over the salad wedges just before serving. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
