Marinade

Method

Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Combine Marinade Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, red chili flakes, and black pepper until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Place the pork steaks in a shallow dish or a zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Ensure the steaks are well-coated. Cover the dish or seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.

Grilling the Pork Steaks

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill (or grill pan) to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Remove from Marinade

Take the marinated pork steaks out of the fridge and remove them from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Discard the marinade.

  3. 5

    Season and Oil the Steaks

Season the pork steaks with salt to taste and brush them lightly with olive oil.

  4. 6

    Grill the Pork Steaks

Place the pork steaks on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) and the steaks are nicely charred.

  5. 7

    Let Rest

Once cooked, remove the pork steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.

  6. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Garnish the grilled pork steaks with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with your choice of sides.
