1

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

2

Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

3

Cut in Butter

Add the cold butter to the flour mixture and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4

Add Cheese and Chives

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives until evenly distributed.

5

Add Buttermilk

Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently until just combined. Do not overmix.

6

Drop Biscuit Dough

Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, drop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.

8

Serve

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving with smoked pimento cheese.
