Jameson Orange Recipe

Cocktail

   Prepare glass

   Select a highball or Collins glass. Fill the glass with ice to chill while you build the drink.

   Mix cocktail

   In a cocktail shaker add 2 oz Jameson Irish Whiskey, 4 oz fresh orange juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, 0.25 oz fresh lime juice and 2 dashes Angostura bitters. Fill the shaker halfway with ice.

   Shake

   Secure the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds, until the shaker exterior is cold and slightly frosted. This chills and dilutes the drink to the correct level.

   Assemble

   Dump the ice from the prepared glass (optional: leave some fresh ice). Strain the shaken mixture into the chilled highball glass over fresh ice if desired.

   Garnish and serve

   Express an orange peel over the drink to release oils or place an orange wheel on the rim as garnish. Serve immediately with a short straw.
