Method

Preparation of Buttermilk Biscuits

  1. 1

    Make the Biscuits

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Stir in buttermilk until a dough forms. Roll out and cut into circles.

  2. 2

    Bake the Biscuits

Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Frying the Chicken

  1. 3

    Prepare the Chicken

In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper. In another bowl, whisk eggs and buttermilk. Dip chicken in flour, then egg mixture, and again in flour.

  2. 4

    Fry the Chicken

Heat oil in a deep pan. Fry chicken tenders until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Making Bourbon Maple Syrup

  1. 5

    Combine Syrup and Bourbon

In a small saucepan, combine maple syrup and bourbon. Heat over low until warmed through.

Cooking the Eggs

  1. 6

    Cook the Eggs

Cook eggs to your preference (fried, scrambled, or poached) in a skillet.

Preparing Hash Browns

  1. 7

    Cook Hash Browns

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add hash browns, season with salt and pepper, and cook until crispy, about 10-12 minutes.

Making Roasted Poblano Gravy

  1. 8

    Roast the Peppers

Roast poblano peppers over an open flame or in the oven until charred. Peel, seed, and chop.

  2. 9

    Make the Gravy

In a saucepan, melt butter, stir in flour to form a roux, then gradually whisk in milk. Add roasted poblano peppers, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.

Cooking Sausage and Ham

  1. 10

    Cook the Sausage and Ham

In a skillet, cook breakfast sausage until browned. Add diced ham and cook until heated through.

Cooking the Bacon

  1. 11

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet, cook smoked bacon until crispy. Sprinkle with maple pepper seasoning.

Assembly

  1. 12

    Assemble the Dish

On a plate, stack the buttermilk biscuit, top with fried chicken, egg, sausage, ham, hash browns, and drizzle with bourbon maple syrup and poblano gravy. Add crispy bacon on the side.
