Steak Preparation

Cook the Steak
Season the hanger steak with chili powder, salt, and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let rest.
Hollandaise Preparation

Make the Hollandaise Sauce
In a heatproof bowl, whisk egg yolks and lemon juice. Place over a pot of simmering water and whisk until thickened. Gradually drizzle in melted butter while whisking until the sauce is creamy. Season with salt.
Braised Spinach Preparation

Braised Spinach
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add fresh spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
Hashbrowns Preparation

Prepare the Hashbrowns
Grate potatoes and squeeze out excess moisture. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add diced onion and cook until translucent. Add grated potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook until crispy and golden brown. Stir in jalapeno-smoked gouda cheese until melted.
