Cooking Meatballs

Prepare the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, minced garlic (2 cloves), grated Parmesan cheese (4 oz), salt (1 tsp), black pepper (1 tsp), and Italian seasoning (1 tsp). Mix until well combined.

Form Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs about 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake Meatballs
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the meatballs for 20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through.
Making Marinara Sauce

Add Tomatoes and Seasoning
Stir in crushed tomatoes (28 oz), basil (1 tbs), salt (1 tsp), black pepper (1 tsp), and sugar (1 tsp). Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-20 minutes.
Cooking Spaghetti

Boil Water
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil.

Cook Spaghetti
Add spaghetti (12 oz) to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Combine and Serve

Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the marinara sauce and let simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve
Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and marinara sauce. Garnish with additional grated Parmesan cheese (2 oz) and fresh basil (1 tbs).
