Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil Water
In a large pot, fill with water and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
- 2
Cook Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions, usually about 10-12 minutes, until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Grilling Chicken
- 3
Prepare Chicken
While the pasta is cooking, season chicken breasts with olive oil, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
- 4
Grill Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes, then slice.
Making Alfredo Sauce
- 5
Melt Butter
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt 1 stick of unsalted butter.
- 6
Add Garlic and Cream
Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Then, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- 7
Incorporate Cheese
Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper.
- 8
Combine with Pasta
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
Serving
- 9
Plate the Dish
Serve the creamy Alfredo pasta topped with sliced grilled chicken. Garnish with chopped parsley for a fresh touch.
