Preparation

1

Chill the Glass

Begin by chilling your martini glass. Fill it with ice water and let it sit while you prepare the drink.

2

Mix the Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz of Grey Goose vodka or Tanqueray Ten gin and 0.5 oz of dry vermouth. Fill the shaker with ice.

3

Shake or Stir

Shake the shaker vigorously for about 15 seconds if you prefer a shaken martini, or stir gently for about 30 seconds if you prefer a stirred martini.

4

Strain the Mixture

Empty the ice water from your chilled martini glass. Using a strainer, pour the mixed ingredients into the glass.

5

Garnish

Add a lemon twist or a few olives to the drink for garnish, depending on your preference.
