Preparation
- 1
Measure Coffee
Using a measuring cup, measure out 1 cup of coarse ground coffee. This is the foundation for your French press brew.
- 2
Boil Water
In a kettle, bring 4 cups of filtered water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let it sit for about 30 seconds to cool slightly.
Brewing
- 3
Add Coffee to French Press
Place the coarse ground coffee into the French press. Make sure it is evenly distributed across the bottom.
- 4
Pour Water
Slowly pour the hot water over the coffee grounds in the French press. Ensure that all the coffee grounds are saturated, and stir gently with a wooden or plastic spoon to mix.
- 5
Steep
Place the lid on the French press with the plunger pulled all the way up. Let the coffee steep for about 4 minutes. Adjust steeping time based on your taste preference.
