Method
Cheese Preparation
- 1
Select and Arrange
Take the Brie, aged cheddar, Gorgonzola, and goat cheese out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before serving to enhance their flavors. Arrange them on a large serving board or platter with enough space in between.
- 2
Slice and Cut
Slice the aged cheddar into thin wedges. For the Brie, cut it into quarters or serve whole. Crumble the Gorgonzola and make small rounds or logs with the goat cheese.
Charcuterie Preparation
- 3
Arrange Meats
Take the prosciutto, salami, and chorizo out of the packaging. Fold the prosciutto into loose ribbons. Slice the salami into thin rounds and arrange them in a circular pattern. Cut the chorizo into bite-sized pieces and scatter them around the board.
Accompaniments Preparation
- 4
Prepare Accompaniments
Place the mixed olives, cornichons, and dried figs in small bowls or directly on the board. Drizzle honey in a small dish for dipping. Arrange the crunchy breadsticks and crackers in a separate basket or on the board.
Final Assembly
- 5
Assemble the Charcuterie Board
Once all components are prepared, place the cheese, meats, and accompaniments attractively on the serving board. Ensure that there is a balance of colors and textures. Serve with small cheese knives and forks for guests to help themselves.
