Directions
- 1
Prepare the Matcha Ginger Lady Fingers
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, whisk together matcha powder, flour, and ginger. In another large bowl, beat eggs and sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, folding gently. Pour melted butter into the mixture and combine well. Pipe or spoon the batter onto a lined baking sheet in finger shapes, and bake for 10-12 minutes until set. Let cool.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, sugar, and grated orange peel. Whip until soft peaks form.
- 3
Assemble the Tiramisu
Dip the matcha ginger lady fingers quickly in the tea to soak them. In a serving dish, layer soaked lady fingers, then a layer of mascarpone cream. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream on top.
- 4
Chill and Serve
Refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust with extra matcha powder and garnish with orange peel.
