Cocktail Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the cocktail.
- 2
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing glass, add the 1 oz of 1792 Small Batch Bourbon, 0.5 oz of Remy Martin Cognac VSOP, 0.5 oz of Benedictine DOM, and 0.5 oz of Cocchi di Torino.
- 3
Add Bitters
Add 2 dashes each of Peychaud's Bitters and Angostura Bitters to the mixing glass.
- 4
Add Ice and Stir
Fill the mixing glass with 1 cup of ice. Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled and combined.
- 5
Prepare the Glass
Empty the ice water from your chilled cocktail glass.
- 6
Strain and Serve
Using a strainer, pour the mixture from the mixing glass into the chilled cocktail glass.
- 7
Garnish
Express the oils from a piece of orange peel over the drink and place it in the glass as a garnish.
