Cocktail

Method

Prepare Glass

1

Salt the rim (optional)

If you want a salted rim, run a lime wedge around the outside rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Pour the coarse kosher or margarita salt onto a small plate and gently dip the rim into the salt to coat about half to three-quarters of the edge. Set the glass aside.

Make Cocktail

2

Fill a cocktail shaker about two-thirds full with ice.

3

Add 2 oz Exotico Blanco tequila to the shaker.

4

Pour in 1 oz fresh lime juice (about the juice of 1 medium lime).

5

Add 0.5 oz agave nectar. If your agave is very thick, you can warm it slightly or thin with a few drops of warm water so it mixes easily.

6

Add 0.25 oz fresh orange juice to add a subtle orange note without using triple sec.

7

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and well chilled (this properly dilutes and integrates the agave).

8

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice if you prefer the cocktail on the rocks. Strain the cocktail from the shaker into the glass. For a neat/coupe presentation, double-strain into a chilled coupe without ice.

Garnish & Serve

9

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally add an orange twist for extra aroma by expressing the oils over the cocktail and resting the twist on the rim.

10

Serve immediately. Sip and enjoy.
