Muddle Fresno
In a cocktail shaker, place the seeded, thinly sliced Fresno chile (1 slice). Gently muddle once or twice — enough to release aromatic oils and a touch of heat but not pulverize into pulp. If you prefer more heat, muddle a little more or add an extra thin slice.
- 3
Build and shake
Add 2 oz reposado tequila, 0.5 oz dry orange liqueur, 2 oz fresh orange juice, 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.75 oz honey syrup, and a handful of ice (about 6 pieces) into the shaker with the muddled Fresno. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until well-chilled and slightly frothy.
- 4
Double strain
Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into a chilled rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Double-straining removes Fresno solids and any pulp for a clean, silky drink.
Garnish & Finish

Garnish the glass with a single Fresno chile wheel perched on the ice and express an orange twist over the drink (pinch peel over the surface to release oils) then drop the twist in. Serve immediately.
