Mixing the Cocktail
In a mixing glass, combine the Kansas City Club Bourbon, demerara syrup, and smoked bitters.

Chilling the Mixture
Add ice to the mixing glass and stir gently for about 20-30 seconds until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into a chilled rocks glass over a large ice cube.

Express the oils from the orange peel over the drink and place it on the rim. Add the maraschino cherry as a finishing touch.
