Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Wash and cube the potatoes. Slice the bell peppers into strips. Mince the garlic and chop the basil leaves.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the striploin steaks with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Potatoes

In a large pot, boil water and add the cubed potatoes. Cook for about 10-12 minutes or until tender. Drain and set aside.

  2. 4

    Sear the Steak

In a skillet over medium-high heat, add a tablespoon of olive oil. Once hot, add the marinated striploin steaks and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from the pan and let rest.

  3. 5

    Sauté the Peppers

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil if needed, and sauté the bell peppers for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender but still crisp.

  4. 6

    Combine and Serve

In a large bowl, combine the cooked potatoes, sautéed bell peppers, sliced almonds, and chopped basil. Toss gently to mix. Serve the striploin steaks on top of the vegetable mixture.
