Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Soak Skewers

Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.

  2. 2

    Prepare Duck

Trim excess fat from duck breasts and cut into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

    Make Marinade

In a bowl, combine plum sauce, minced garlic (finely chopped), grated ginger, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well combined.

  4. 4

    Marinate Duck

Add the duck pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to overnight for more flavor.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheat Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 6

    Assemble Skewers

Thread marinated duck pieces onto soaked wooden skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

  3. 7

    Grill Skewers

Place skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the duck is cooked through and has a nice char.

  4. 8

    Serve

Remove skewers from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve with additional plum sauce for dipping.
