Tea Ingredients

Optional Ingredients

Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a kettle, bring 1 cup of fresh, filtered water to a boil.

  2. 2

    Measure the Tea Leaves

While the water is boiling, measure 2 teaspoons of Sencha green tea leaves and place them in a teapot or a tea infuser.

  3. 3

    Pour the Water

Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from heat and let it cool for about 30 seconds. Then, pour the hot water over the tea leaves in the teapot or infuser.

  4. 4

    Steep the Tea

Allow the tea to steep for 2-3 minutes. Adjust the steeping time to your preference; longer steeping will result in a stronger flavor.

  5. 5

    Strain and Serve

After steeping, strain the tea into cups. If using a tea infuser, simply remove it from the teapot.

Optional Additions

  1. 6

    Add Sweetener and Garnish

If desired, add 1 teaspoon of honey to each cup for sweetness. You can also add a slice of lemon for a refreshing twist.
