Method

Prep

  1. 1

    Rim the glass (optional)

Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a highball or Collins glass. Dip the rim into the coarse salt or Tajín until evenly coated. Set the glass aside.

  2. 2

Fill the prepared glass with cubed ice to chill while you mix, or use a separate mixing glass to build the drink over ice.

Mixing

  1. 3

Add 2 oz Casamigos Blanco tequila into the chilled glass (or mixing glass) over ice.

  2. 4

Pour in 0.5 oz fresh lime juice.

  3. 5

If you prefer a slightly sweeter Paloma, add 0.25 oz agave syrup and gently stir to combine with the tequila and lime.

  4. 6

Top with 3 oz Fever-Tree grapefruit soda. Pour gently to preserve carbonation; stir once very lightly (1–2 gentle turns) to integrate.

Finish & Serve

  1. 7

Give the cocktail a quick taste and adjust: add another 0.25 oz grapefruit soda or 0.25 oz agave if you want it brighter or sweeter.

  2. 8

Garnish with a grapefruit or lime wheel on the rim and serve immediately with a short stirring straw or cocktail pick.
