Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook Mushrooms

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until they are golden brown and tender, about 5-7 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Burger Patty

Form the ground beef into a patty, approximately 1/3 lb in weight. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger

Grill or pan-fry the burger patty over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the burger. Cover the skillet or grill to help melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Place the cooked burger on the bun. Top with sautéed mushrooms, and any optional toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Swiss burger immediately, while it’s hot and the cheese is melted.
