Prepare the Bacon
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Form the Patties
Divide the ground beef into 2 equal portions (about 1/3 pound each) and shape them into patties. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Patties
In the same skillet used for bacon, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover to allow the cheese to melt.
