Method

Prepare the Shrimp

    Boil the Shrimp

    In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Add the jumbo shrimp to the boiling water. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp turn pink and are opaque. Do not overcook.

    Cool the Shrimp

    Remove the shrimp from the pot and place them in a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for about 5 minutes.

    Peel and Devein

    Once cooled, peel and devein the shrimp, leaving the tails on if desired for presentation.

Make Cocktail Sauce

    Combine Ingredients

    In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of ketchup, 2 tbs of horseradish, 1 tbs of lemon juice, 1 tsp of Worcestershire sauce, and 2 tsp of hot sauce.

    Mix Well

    Stir the mixture until well combined. Taste and add salt to taste if needed.

Serve

    Plate the Shrimp

    Arrange the shrimp on a serving platter.

    Serve with Sauce

    Serve the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side and garnish with lemon wedges.
