Method

Prepare the Cornbread Croutons

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

    Cut Cornbread

Take the cornbread and cut it into 1-inch cubes.

  3. 3

    Toss with Olive Oil

In a bowl, toss the cornbread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  4. 4

    Bake Croutons

Spread the seasoned cornbread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy, turning halfway through.

Make the Dressing

  1. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and anchovy paste.

  2. 6

    Whisk Together

Whisk the ingredients until smooth and well combined. Adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper to taste.

Assemble the Salad

  1. 7

    Prepare Romaine

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.

  2. 8

    Combine Lettuce and Dressing

In a large bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce and pour the dressing over it. Toss to combine until the lettuce is well coated.

  3. 9

    Add Croutons and Cheese

Add the prepared cornbread croutons and Parmesan cheese to the salad, tossing gently to mix.
