Tiramisu Directions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee
Brew 2 cups of espresso coffee and let it cool. If desired, add coffee liqueur to the coffee.
- 2
Prepare the Mascarpone Mixture
In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- 3
Whip the Heavy Cream
In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until combined.
- 4
Soak the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso, making sure not to soak them too long.
- 5
Layer the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, create a layer of soaked ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone mixture. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer on top.
- 6
Chill the Tiramisu
Dust the top layer with cocoa powder and refrigerate the tiramisu for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 7
Serve
Slice the tiramisu and serve chilled, garnished with additional cocoa powder if desired.
