Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion is translucent.

  2. 2

    Brown the Pork

Add the diced pork shoulder to the pot and season with cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the pork is browned on all sides.

  3. 3

    Add Potatoes and Chiles

Stir in the diced potatoes and chopped Hatch green chiles. Mix well to combine.

  4. 4

    Simmer the Stew

Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 45 minutes or until the pork and potatoes are tender.

  5. 5

    Finish with Cheese and Lime

Stir in the shredded white cheddar cheese and lime juice, allowing the cheese to melt. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

  6. 6

    Serve

Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot. Enjoy your Green Chile Stew!
