Tuna Chili Preparation

Sauté the Aromatics

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped red onion and minced garlic. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Add the Tuna

Stir in the diced yellowfin tuna and cook for 2-3 minutes until the tuna is just cooked through.

Incorporate the Other Ingredients

Add the canned diced tomatoes, black beans, ground cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Mix well to combine and cook for an additional 5 minutes until everything is heated through.

Prepare the Tortilla Chips

Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet.

Layer the Tuna Chili

Spoon the prepared tuna chili mixture evenly over the tortilla chips.

Add Cheddar Cheese

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the top of the tuna chili.

Melt the Cheese

Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Garnish with Pico de Gallo and Lime Crema

Remove from the oven and top with pico de gallo and drizzle with lime crema before serving.
