Mashed Potatoes

Method

Preparing the Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Rub the ribeye steak with olive oil on both sides. Sprinkle salt, black pepper, and garlic powder evenly over the steak, ensuring both sides are well-seasoned.

  2. 2

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, approximately 450°F (232°C).

  3. 3

    Grill the Steak

Place the seasoned ribeye steak on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the steak and add a sprig of fresh rosemary on top. Grill for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare doneness.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for about 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Making the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 5

    Boil the Potatoes

Peel and chop the large potatoes into chunks. Place them in a large pot and cover with cold water. Add a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over high heat. Cook until the potatoes are fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  2. 6

    Drain and Mash the Potatoes

Once cooked, drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.

  3. 7

    Serve

Plate the mashed potatoes alongside the grilled ribeye steak. Enjoy your delicious meal!
