Method

Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water.

  2. 2

    Cook Pasta

Add the pasta to the boiling water. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside.

Preparing the Vegetables

  1. 4

    Sauté Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  2. 5

    Add Vegetables

Add bell pepper, zucchini, carrot, broccoli, and cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 6

    Combine Pasta and Vegetables

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sautéed vegetables. Mix well to combine.

  2. 7

    Season

Sprinkle with black pepper, and toss in chopped basil and grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve hot, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh basil if desired.
