Preparation

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.

Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Mixing

Cream Butter and Sugars
In a separate bowl, beat the unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Add Eggs and Vanilla
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Adding Chocolate

Fold in Chocolate Chunks
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chunks until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking

Scoop and Bake
Using a cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Sprinkle with Maldon Salt
Before baking, sprinkle a pinch of Maldon salt on top of each cookie dough ball.

Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the centers are still soft.

Cool the Cookies
Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
