Preparation of Chicken

Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare Chicken Breasts
Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Dredge Chicken
Set up a breading station: Place the flour in one shallow dish, beat the eggs in another, and mix the bread crumbs with grated Parmesan cheese in a third dish. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, then dip in the beaten eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumb mixture.

Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Fry the chicken breasts in batches for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Layer Ingredients
In a baking dish, spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom. Place the fried chicken breasts on top of the sauce. Spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with shredded mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving. Serve hot with pasta or a side salad.
