Cooking the Pasta

Cook the Fettuccine
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Grilling the Chicken

Prepare the Chicken
While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a grill pan over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Grill the Chicken
Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot grill pan. Cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. Remove from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Combine Ingredients
Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
Combining Everything

Toss the Pasta
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat the pasta evenly.

Serve
Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
