Sashimi and Accompaniments

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Tuna

Using a sharp knife, slice the sashimi-grade tuna into thin, even slices, about 1/4 inch thick. Arrange the slices neatly on a serving platter.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado

Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice the avocado into thin slices and arrange them artfully alongside the tuna on the platter.

  3. 3

    Make the Pickled Green Coriander

Rinse the fresh coriander under cold water and pat dry. Finely chop the leaves and stems, then mix them with the fresh lime juice, fish liqueur, and sea salt in a small bowl. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Platter

Drizzle the pickled coriander mixture over the arranged tuna and avocado on the platter. Sprinkle the black sesame seeds over the top for garnish.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately to enjoy the fresh flavors. Optionally, serve with additional lime wedges on the side.
