Method
Cocktail
- 1
Chill (optional)
If you prefer a colder drink, place your serving glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prep the cocktail; discard the ice water before serving.
- 2
Build the cocktail
Add 60 ml Cazadores Silver, 15 ml Blue Curaçao, 15 ml triple sec, 22.5 ml agave syrup, and 30 ml fresh lime juice into a cocktail shaker.
- 3
Add ice and shake
Add ice to the shaker (about 1 cup). Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold to the touch and well chilled. This both chills and dilutes the cocktail to balance the flavors.
- 4
Prepare serving
If serving on the rocks: fill a rocks glass with fresh ice. If serving neat/chilled: strain into the chilled coupe or martini glass.
- 5
Strain & serve
Double-strain (use a Hawthorne and a fine mesh strainer if available) the shaken mixture over the fresh ice in the rocks glass, or directly into the chilled coupe for a neat serve. This removes small ice shards for a smoother texture.
Garnish & Rim (optional)
- 6
Rim the glass (optional)
If you want a salt rim, rub a cut lime wedge around the glass rim, then dip the rim into the 1 tsp kosher or coarse sea salt spread on a small plate. Tap off any excess.
- 7
Garnish
Finish with 1 lime wheel on the rim or floated on top of the cocktail. Serve immediately.
