Method

Primary

1

Chill a 12-16 oz beer glass (pint or shaker pint) in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or rinse it with cold water and fill briefly with ice to cool, then discard the ice.

2

If using ice in the drink, add 4 ice cubes to the chilled glass. Note: Many beer purists serve Hamm's straight from the can or bottle with no ice; using ice will dilute and chill faster.

3

Open a 12 fl oz bottle or can of Hamm's lager. Tilt the chilled glass to 45 degrees and slowly pour the beer down the side to minimize foam, then straighten the glass and pour to create a 1/2–1 inch head (about 1–2 cm).

4

Let the beer settle briefly. If you prefer a citrus accent, squeeze a lime wedge over the beer and drop the wedge into the glass or add a small dash (1/2 tablespoon) of fresh lime juice and gently swirl once.

5

Serve immediately while carbonated and cold.

Garnish & Serving

6

Garnish (optional)

Garnish with the squeezed lime wedge on the rim or dropped in the glass. Do not stir vigorously — a gentle swirl is enough if lime juice was added.

7

Pair your Hamm's with classic bar snacks (pretzels, burgers) and enjoy. Consume responsibly.
