Tea Base

Method

Preparation of Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea Bags

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 green tea bags. Allow to steep for 5 minutes.

  3. 3

    Add Hibiscus

After 5 minutes, add 2 tablespoons of dried hibiscus flowers. Allow to steep for another 5 minutes.

  4. 4

    Strain the Tea

Remove the tea bags and strain the mixture into a pitcher, discarding the hibiscus flowers.

  5. 5

    Add Strawberries and Sweetener

Add 1 cup of fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced) and 2 tablespoons of sugar or honey to the pitcher. Stir well until the sweetener is dissolved.

  6. 6

    Cool the Tea

Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled, about 1 hour.

Serving the Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Garnish

While the tea is chilling, prepare the garnish by slicing additional strawberries and lemon. Set aside.

  2. 8

    Serve the Tea

Once chilled, pour the strawberry rosé tea into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, strawberry slices, and lemon slices as desired.

  3. 9

    Enjoy

Serve immediately and enjoy your refreshing strawberry rosé tea!
